Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing backend systems in high-performance engineering environments.
- Strong proficiency in Rust and experience applying modern software engineering principles.
- 3+ years of experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- 3+ years of experience working with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch.
- Experience designing and developing microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VLAN, SDN, and VXLAN.
- Experience integrating software with third-party devices and external data sources.
- Experience incorporating AI tools, models, or services into development workflows.
- Knowledge of secure software development practices and cybersecurity concepts.
- Experience with cloud-first development and deployment environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and testable backend systems and tools using Rust.
- Improve existing software architectures by identifying opportunities to increase performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle, including design, development, debugging, testing, and optimization.
- Develop solutions that address complex technical challenges in cybersecurity and industrial environments.
- Collaborate with product teams and engineering peers to deliver customer-focused capabilities.
- Integrate with third-party devices, data providers, and external systems while ensuring reliable data flows.
- Provide and receive constructive peer feedback through regular engineering review processes.
- Stay current with advancements in Rust, backend engineering practices, security concepts, and software design methodologies.
- Contribute ideas that improve engineering processes, product quality, and technical standards.
