Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or billing operations.
- At least 2 years of experience in a management or lead role.
- Strong proficiency in clearinghouse workflows and ERA/EOB reconciliation.
- Deep knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding standards, specifically for reproductive and virtual care.
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing billing systems and EHR platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of using KPIs to drive process improvements.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with clinical, finance, product, and operations teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to document complex processes.
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Medi-Cal/Medicaid billing experience is strongly preferred.
- Background in telehealth, reproductive health, or women's health is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including charge capture, claims submission, and AR collections.
- Monitor and report on key revenue cycle metrics such as clean claim rates, AR days, and denial rates.
- Develop and document billing and coding protocols in collaboration with clinical teams.
- Lead denial prevention and appeals processes by identifying root causes and systemic gaps.
- Ensure billing operational readiness and compliance for new insurance plans and state Medicaid programs.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to optimize EHR configurations and billing system tools.
- Directly manage and develop a team of 2-3 billing specialists.
