Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA Inter or equivalent Indian qualification preferred.
- 5-7 years of professional accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP is a plus.
- Experience handling statutory audits and tax filings.
- Proven ability to manage monthly close processes.
- Experience in a fast-paced industry like e-commerce or digital marketing preferred.
- Prior start-up experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support the monthly close process by preparing and posting journal entries, including payroll, 401(k), accrued expenses, advertising commissions, and interest on notes.
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations for clearing accounts, fixed assets, and inventory.
- Manage fixed assets and computer equipment records in coordination with the IT Department.
- Maintain cash burn reports, rate calculation files, and expense classifications.
- Analyze vendor costs, subscriptions, and freelancer payments to improve cost structures.
- Conduct inventory reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Validate affiliate platform transactions and commissions to ensure proper accounting reporting.
- Prepare management and financial reports within QuickBooks Online (QBO).
