Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of loan processing experience, including at least 2 years focused on SBA loan packaging and closing.
  • Strong knowledge of SBA programs, E-Tran, SBA Standard Operating Procedures, and USDA lending requirements.
  • Experience reviewing title work, title insurance, property insurance, liability insurance, and flood insurance documentation.
  • Experience managing borrower relationships and coordinating complex lending processes.
  • Strong understanding of loan documentation, compliance requirements, and regulatory procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and apply lending policies and procedures to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, and ShareFile.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial loan pipeline throughout each stage of the origination, packaging, closing, and onboarding process.
  • Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation required for SBA loan processing and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain SBA borrower checklists, loan forms, authorizations, commitment letters, and supporting documentation.
  • Review approved SBA and USDA credit packages to determine required due diligence, documentation, collateral requirements, and closing conditions.
  • Ensure loan packages are accurately prepared and submitted through SBA processing channels, including delegated and non-delegated procedures.
  • Coordinate with borrowers, relationship managers, attorneys, government entities, brokers, and third-party vendors to maintain smooth transaction progress.
  • Order and review required reports, including appraisals, environmental assessments, title work, insurance documentation, business valuations, and compliance searches.
  • Manage loan documentation quality by reviewing UCC searches, title documents, legal agreements, and final closing materials.
  • Prepare closing documents, verify settlement statements, confirm funding requirements, and coordinate loan disbursements.
  • Perform post-closing reviews to ensure documentation accuracy, completeness, and proper loan onboarding.
