Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of combined experience in ELA instruction, coaching, and adult learning.
  • At least 5 years of ELA classroom teaching experience.
  • At least 3 years of instructional leadership, coaching, or leading HQIM-aligned professional learning.
  • Demonstrated expertise supporting teachers to internalize and adapt high-quality instructional materials (HQIM).
  • Strong pedagogical and content knowledge in ELA, specifically Science of Reading and Common Core-aligned instruction.
  • Experience implementing HQIM in ELA; familiarity with HMH Into Literature is a plus.
  • Technical fluency with AI platforms and ability to interpret AI-generated insights for instructional design.
  • Ability to travel moderately for retreats, programming, and professional development.
  • Commitment to Leading Educators' mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of a coherent, scalable model for AI-enabled ELA instruction.
  • Guide the Robin Hood Foundation-supported multi-school literacy initiative.
  • Co-create, pilot, and refine instructional supports that preserve curriculum integrity while leveraging AI technology.
  • Collaborate across instruction, technology, research, product, and coaching teams to drive system coherence.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to surface patterns and inform instructional strategy.
  • Build educator capacity to internalize and adapt high-quality instructional materials.
