Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract negotiations, or related supply chain disciplines.
  • Experience leading complex RFPs, negotiating supplier agreements, and managing cross-functional procurement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, supplier management, and commercial negotiation practices.
  • Understanding of procurement compliance requirements, including FAR-compliant procurement practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including confidence engaging with suppliers, internal teams, and leadership.
  • Experience managing project timelines, sourcing deliverables, and multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and procurement, contract management, or source-to-pay systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, cost targets, risk management goals, and compliance requirements.
  • Support acquisition strategy development by evaluating supplier options, negotiation approaches, and procurement impacts.
  • Lead complex RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and sourcing projects from initiation through completion.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with contractual, operational, and regulatory expectations.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, agreements, and supplier conditions to achieve optimized outcomes.
  • Manage supplier relationships, capability assessments, negotiations, and issue resolution activities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to cost, schedule, supplier performance, compliance, and commercial agreements.
  • Ensure procurement documentation, policies, and requirements are accurately maintained and consistently applied.
  • Improve sourcing processes by developing best practices, tools, and training resources.
  • Support strategic enterprise-level negotiations and high-priority procurement initiatives when required.
