Requirements
- Active pharmacy technician license in the state of residence (Ohio, Florida, Texas, or Arizona).
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification.
- Ability to research, read, and interpret clinical information.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate customer needs.
- Proficiency in data entry and experience using multiple applications simultaneously.
- Reliable high-speed internet (min 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload).
- Dedicated workspace free from interruptions to protect PHI/HIPAA information.
- 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or call center experience preferred.
- Mail Order or Specialty Pharmacy experience preferred.
- Experience with insurance plans and Medicare preferred.
- 1+ years of experience submitting and reading pharmacy claims in RxNova preferred.
- Experience with Scriptmed preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily worklists, conducting follow-ups, and prioritizing authorization requests.
- Research and interpret insurance claims using clinical and informational resources.
- Work directly with physician offices to initiate and complete prior authorization requests.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and departmental protocols.
- Operate with independent discretion to support high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
