Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or pre-sales/consulting.
- Experience building and managing distributed data systems.
- Proficiency in programming and debugging with Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Expertise in data engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
- Expertise in data science and machine learning technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch, Tensorflow).
- Availability to travel to customers within your region.
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Applied Mathematics) is desired.
- Databricks Certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales teams to provide technical leadership and solve customer business problems.
- Consult on Big Data architectures and implement proof of concepts for data engineering, data science, and SQL workflows.
- Validate integrations with cloud services, internal tools, and 3rd party applications.
- Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support customers and internal teams.
- Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks open-source projects including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
