Requirements
- Several years of experience in application or product security.
- Strong background in software engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10 (Web & API) and modern attack vectors.
- Hands-on experience with security testing tools such as Burp Suite.
- Proficiency in Python for security tooling, automation, or detection.
- Experience implementing and tuning SAST, SCA, DAST, and secret scanning in CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience leading lightweight threat modeling sessions.
- Ability to work with complex, large-scale systems and modern architectures.
- Strong collaboration skills to explain security issues and drive remediation.
- Experience with Django, Vue.js, MongoDB, or GCP (preferred).
- Familiarity with supply chain security or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) security (preferred).
- Relevant security certifications such as OSCP, GWAPT, or BSCP (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Identify and fix vulnerabilities in the codebase by working hands-on with engineering teams.
- Review pull requests and lead threat modeling sessions for new features.
- Build and tune security tooling and automation to support platform security.
- Embed secure development practices and security testing across the SDLC.
- Perform penetration testing and security assessments on web applications and APIs.
- Maintain detection coverage and stay updated on emerging threats.
