Requirements

  • 7+ years of talent acquisition experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting across Sub-Saharan Africa and other global markets.
  • Proven track record scaling a talent acquisition function through hypergrowth.
  • Experience building proactive sourcing capabilities from the ground up.
  • Expertise in global workforce planning including headcount and scenario planning.
  • Strong command of recruiting operations, data metrics, and process design.
  • Extensive experience with ATS management, preferably Greenhouse.
  • Experience enabling hiring managers through structured interviewing and calibration.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to advise senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to overlap with East Africa Time by at least 3 hours daily.
  • Must be able to travel ~3-4 times per year to countries of operation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a team of managers and individual contributors to develop as business partners.
  • Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the recruitment team.
  • Advise on complex, senior, and high-stakes searches for Director-level and technical roles.
  • Own Greenhouse ATS configuration, data reporting, and the integration of AI tools.
  • Establish and track recruiting metrics to drive process improvements and hiring quality.
  • Build a proactive outbound sourcing capability from the ground up for global markets.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for global development, tech for good, and field operations roles.
  • Partner with senior leaders on headcount planning, role criticality, and organizational readiness.
