Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing WASH funding portfolios, international development programs, or similar global initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as international development, public health, environmental studies, water science, or a comparable discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing partnerships or programs using performance frameworks, objectives, indicators, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience engaging external technical experts and integrating specialized knowledge into program strategies.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to navigate complex conversations with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working across cultures and collaborating with international nonprofit or community-based organizations.
- Ability to mentor, guide, and develop team members while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with monitoring, evaluation, budget analysis, or program data systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full grant lifecycle for a portfolio of international WASH partners, including proposal reviews, grant approvals, progress reporting, milestone tracking, and timeline management.
- Monitor program performance against established frameworks by defining expectations, evaluating results, reviewing reports, and using field insights to guide decisions.
- Strengthen partner programs through monitoring, evaluation, learning (MEL) insights, technical guidance, and the sharing of effective WASH practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international partners based on trust, transparency, accountability, and shared goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve program quality, operational efficiency, sustainability, and impact through internal and external collaboration.
- Support the evaluation, onboarding, and management of new global WASH partnerships.
- Coordinate with finance, monitoring, evaluation, learning, and other organizational teams to ensure effective program execution.
- Manage or mentor program support team members, helping them grow their skills and successfully contribute to partnership operations.
- Oversee external consultants and incorporate technical findings into partnership strategies and program improvements.
- Support donor reporting, impact storytelling, and presentations by providing accurate program insights and results.
