Requirements
- Strong professional experience building and operating production backend services using Go or another systems programming language.
- Strong security mindset with the ability to reason about threat models, attack surfaces, blast radius, and secure system design.
- Solid understanding of applied cryptography fundamentals, including public-key cryptography, digital signatures, and key management concepts.
- Experience designing distributed systems and APIs, including handling idempotency, failure scenarios, scalability challenges, and service boundaries.
- Operational experience with Kubernetes, observability platforms, production monitoring, and incident response practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly through technical documentation, architecture proposals, and engineering decision records.
- Experience with blockchain infrastructure, account abstraction, smart accounts, or embedded/non-custodial wallets.
- Familiarity with Trusted Execution Environments such as AWS Nitro Enclaves, Intel SGX/TDX, or similar technologies.
- Experience with threshold cryptography, MPC, distributed key generation, FROST signatures, or verifiable secret sharing.
- Experience integrating custody or signing providers, or building secure signing infrastructure.
- Knowledge of HSMs, YubiKeys, secure elements, WebAuthn, passkeys, OAuth/OIDC, or related security technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services in Go that support wallet creation, authentication, transaction signing, and large-scale platform operations.
- Develop and improve key-management infrastructure, including recovery systems and trust models that preserve non-custodial user ownership.
- Work on distributed key generation, secret sharing, and cryptographic recovery mechanisms to strengthen platform security.
- Build and maintain systems leveraging Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), including secure key handling, hardware isolation, and remote attestation workflows.
- Develop authentication and signing integrations, including passkeys, WebAuthn, OAuth, OTP, sessions, two-factor authentication, and third-party signing provider workflows.
- Design secure authorization and policy systems, including scoped credentials, approval flows, and consensus-based signing mechanisms.
- Create technical documentation, architecture designs, and decision records while collaborating with security teams and external auditors.
- Strengthen production reliability through Kubernetes operations, monitoring, alerting, secrets management, certificate management, and incident response processes.
