Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building software products.
- 2+ years of experience managing engineers or equivalent leadership experience.
- Proficiency in systems design for distributed services.
- Experience with workflow orchestration and event-driven architectures.
- Proven track record of building robust APIs and integrations with ERP, GIS, or document management systems.
- Strong systems thinking, specifically in modeling long-running workflows and complex state transitions.
- Experience designing for production services, including setting SLOs and managing operational reliability.
- Ability to remain technically hands-on with code, architecture, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and managing cross-functional partnerships.
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites, headquarters, and market launches.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end strategy, delivery, and operational reliability for the Launch & Scale Platform including site acquisition, permitting, and construction execution.
- Define and prioritize the product and technical roadmap driven by measurable business metrics such as launch velocity and deployment predictability.
- Replace fragmented manual workflows with durable, automated systems to improve auditability and scale operations.
- Design and operate production services, defining SLOs, on-call expectations, and incident processes.
- Build integrations across ERP, GIS, and internal project management tools to create a unified operational source of truth.
- Hire, coach, and scale the engineering team while maintaining hands-on leadership through code reviews and architecture design.
- Partner with cross-functional teams like Real Estate, Construction, and Flight Ops to align technical solutions with real-world constraints.
