Requirements
- 5+ years of successful experience in a similar DX, DevOps, or SRE role.
- Proficiency in software development, specifically Python and Go, with strong programming best practices.
- Exposure to site reliability engineering including root cause analysis, production troubleshooting, and on-call rotations.
- Experience with infrastructure management tools such as CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, IaC, monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Technical product mindset with the ability to debug poor tool adoption.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to manage risk and get stakeholder buy-in.
- Strong ownership, high agency, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience with Bazel or equivalent build systems is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Python ecosystem is a plus.
- Familiarity with GPU-based workloads and ecosystems is a plus.
- Experience working in full remote environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex systems to scale research CI with a focus on reliability, reproducibility, and speed.
- Build flexible, solid, and accessible development environments for researchers.
- Design and advocate for solutions addressing large datasets and maintainable data pipelines.
- Optimize container images, library compilation times, and Python environments.
- Build relationships with researchers to understand workflows and provide expert support.
- Create documentation and educational content to help researchers utilize tools and systems effectively.
- Continuously improve the research platform and daily experience for the research team.
