Requirements
- Law degree and/or legal qualification.
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience independently drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a law firm, in-house legal team, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial contracting principles and experience with complex negotiations.
- Ability to operate with significant autonomy while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to provide practical contract solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting junior team members.
- Experience managing client relationships and collaborating with business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with matter management systems and contract management tools.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery teams in executing client engagements while meeting quality standards and service commitments.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including software development, professional services, consulting, and licensing contracts.
- Manage complex negotiations independently while providing oversight and guidance to junior team members.
- Partner with delivery leads and client stakeholders to resolve issues and provide practical legal and commercial advice.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for contract-related queries and negotiation strategies.
- Coach and mentor junior contract professionals to strengthen team capabilities.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve contracting processes, templates, and operational workflows.
- Maintain accurate contract data and records in internal and client systems.
