Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience/certifications.
- 3+ years of systems administration experience supporting Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong Linux administration skills (e.g., Ubuntu, RedHat).
- Solid Windows Server administration experience including Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Experience administering Remote Desktop Services or equivalent VDI/session-host technologies.
- Practical PostgreSQL administration experience (backups, replication, tuning, maintenance).
- Experience providing helpdesk or end-user support and incident triage.
- Proficiency with scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls).
- Understanding of security controls, IAM concepts, and best practices.
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer-service skills.
Responsibilities
- Administer Windows and Linux servers, including installation, updates, and performance tuning.
- Manage Active Directory user/group lifecycle, GPO design, and health monitoring.
- Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases including backups and replication.
- Maintain Remote Desktop Services session host farms, licensing, and security.
- Provide first- and second-line helpdesk support and escalate incidents as needed.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to support 24/7 operations.
- Automate routine tasks using Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and perform out-of-hours maintenance.
