Requirements
- Three years of workers’ compensation lost time and medical only claim handling experience preferred.
- PA claims experience (Required).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Experience with Image Right preferred.
- Ability to manage time and multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with insureds, injured workers, brokers, and attorneys to determine coverage and liability.
- Administer the delivery of timely, accurate indemnity and medical benefits.
- Evaluate claim exposure and resolve claims, including managing litigated cases with defense counsel.
- Maintain quality claim files in accordance with best practices and company procedures.
- Implement Managed Care strategies and monitor medical progress.
- Mentor and train less experienced Claim Department representatives.
- Prepare and present files for agent, broker, and insured file reviews.
