Requirements
- 5+ years of backend or data engineering experience.
- Proven experience in reporting systems, data pipelines, or ETL.
- Demonstrated experience building reporting solutions used by Finance teams.
- Experience with data warehouse architectures such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Strong API design skills with a focus on contracts over endpoints.
- Proficiency in PHP for integration tasks.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for pipeline development.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queue systems.
Responsibilities
- Build the reporting infrastructure that Finance and Analytics trust, including revenue dashboards, margin analysis, accrual reporting, and audit trails.
- Design and implement ETL/data pipeline integrations between internal systems, data warehouses, analytics tools, and external ERP systems.
- Create the API surface and event contracts that let downstream systems consume data reliably.
- Build reconciliation tooling so Finance can verify data integrity independently.
- Work with domain engineers to ensure reporting needs shape the data model.
- Implement data quality monitoring and alerting for critical financial data pipelines.
- Own the schema and contract versioning strategy for integration APIs.
- Optimize query performance for financial reporting workloads across large datasets.
