Requirements
- 8+ years of contract, procurement, or commercial management experience.
- Strong experience negotiating terms and conditions, pricing, scope, and risk allocation.
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle RFPs from development through award.
- Experience managing operational contracts including maintenance, consulting, and services.
- Ability to independently manage 15–30 concurrent contract activities.
- Experience working with operations, maintenance teams, and business stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Experience in mining, energy, industrial operations, or large-scale projects preferred.
- Experience with contract risk management, legal reviews, and contract management systems preferred.
- SCMP, CIPS, CPCM, or equivalent certification is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end contract development and execution for complex procurement activities.
- Independently negotiate commercial terms, conditions, pricing, liabilities, and risk allocation.
- Develop and manage full-cycle RFPs, RFQs, and competitive sourcing processes.
- Manage a portfolio of 15–30 active contract activities simultaneously.
- Monitor contract performance, compliance, milestones, and deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and provide commercial guidance.
- Partner with legal teams to identify risks and resolve complex contractual issues.
