Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- CPA strongly preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and ownership of month-end close.
- 2+ years supervising or reviewing the work of other accountants.
- Waterpark or attractions industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling, analysis).
- Experience with the Oracle NetSuite accounting system.
- Experience with the RocketRez system and Toast Point of Sale system.
- Ability to own the general ledger, financial statements, and the close process.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff accountant(s) supporting the waterpark.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers.
- Own and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close calendar.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to leadership.
- Lead the annual budget process and periodic forecasts in partnership with operations.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and billing processes.
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with GAAP standards.
- Manage annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
