Requirements
- Proven experience managing and developing a team of security engineers.
- Strong track record of leading complex incident response operations, from triage to retrospective.
- Hands-on experience with security investigations and log analysis using tools such as Splunk or Elastic.
- Working knowledge of GCP and/or AWS, including cloud forensics.
- Proficiency in threat hunting based on intelligence and familiarity with SaaS supply chain threats.
- Experience using AI/LLMs to optimize incident response workflows.
- Comfortable representing the company during customer escalations and high-visibility discussions.
- Proficiency with project tracking tools like GitLab.
- Ability to prioritize and make sound operational decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day team operations by establishing clear goals, performance expectations, and accountability.
- Develop and coach incident responders through candid, real-time feedback and career growth support.
- Participate in hiring decisions to fill talent gaps and raise the team's technical bar.
- Implement and mature incident response processes, including runbooks and team capabilities.
- Serve as an incident commander and escalation point for high-severity events.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams like Legal, Customer Support, and Infrastructure to resolve incidents.
- Drive defensive improvements and 'shift left' initiatives using insights from investigations.
