Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with approximately 3–8+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience gained in a leading law firm or in-house legal department.
- Proven experience with commercial contracts, ideally within the software, SaaS, or cloud technology industry.
- Strong drafting, contract review, and negotiation skills supporting customer or partner transactions.
- Ability to provide practical, succinct, and commercially aware legal advice.
- Familiarity with privacy and data protection issues arising in commercial technology transactions.
- Understanding of customer contracting requirements relating to data processing, transfer, and storage.
- Confidence managing high-volume matters and prioritizing effectively.
- Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to balance business objectives and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Build effective working relationships with Sales, Deal Desk, and Revenue Operations stakeholders.
- Draft and negotiate a range of commercial agreements including SaaS, BaaS, professional services, and NDAs.
- Provide pragmatic legal advice on regulatory, privacy, and commercial risks associated with customer transactions.
- Identify and resolve contractual issues proactively to minimize business delays or disputes.
- Assist in the development and improvement of contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and internal legal processes.
- Deliver training and awareness materials on legal risks and contracting principles to business stakeholders.
- Assess and advise on data processing and privacy obligations in commercial technology contracts.
