Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in modern software development practices.
- Experience building and maintaining production-level systems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, or backend platforms.
- Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
- Excellent technical communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in highly ambiguous environments.
- Passion for open source and developer ecosystems.
- Prior experience as an open-source maintainer or major contributor (preferred).
- Experience building AI, machine learning, or agent-based systems (preferred).
- Experience with developer platforms, infrastructure products, or SDKs (preferred).
- Familiarity with standards development or protocol design (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new platform capabilities across the OpenClaw ecosystem.
- Develop production-quality software for developers, researchers, and enterprises.
- Serve as a maintainer for OpenClaw repositories, managing pull requests and issue triage.
- Engage directly with developers to provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Define technical roadmaps, architectural decisions, and interoperability standards for agentic AI.
- Build tooling, APIs, and SDKs to improve developer experience and reduce friction.
- Translate research findings into production-ready systems for agent deployment.
