Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building production software.
- 2+ years of engineering leadership experience (tech lead, staff, principal, or architect across multiple teams).
- Proven experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems and concurrent/parallel processing.
- Deep technical stack fluency in Rust, Go, and Next.js/TypeScript.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong architecture skills with emphasis on correctness, latency, and throughput.
- Deep domain expertise in exchange/trading-systems, transaction processing, and oracle design.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Availability for meaningful US Pacific time zone overlap.
- Mentorship experience with senior engineers and tech leads.
- AI-forward mindset with experience using AI tools for organizational automation.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture and write production code for the Nexus Exchange, including matching, risk, and settlement engines.
- Build and maintain sub-components such as data indexing, API/CLI/SDK surfaces, oracles, and infrastructure.
- Lead the engineering organization, managing roadmaps, timelines, resourcing, and team structure.
- Drive product outcomes with a business-first mindset and high-frequency iteration.
- Automate engineering processes using agent infrastructure, telemetry, and observability tools.
- Ensure high-quality, provable performance and correctness for all money-handling paths.
- Mentor and grow individual contributors and technical leads.
- Manage an international, distributed workforce.
