Engineering at Nexus
Engineering at Nexus means tackling complex challenges at the core of a Layer 1 blockchain and next-generation DEX engine. You'll work on performance-critical systems where microseconds matter, optimizing concurrency, scheduling, memory layout, and I/O paths for determinism and throughput. Our engineers design and implement all layers of the Nexus protocol stack, including consensus, execution, and API/RPC servers, often in Rust, C++, or Go. We build low-latency pipelines for order execution and explore new financial and trading primitives. You'll investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks using profiling, tracing, and benchmarking techniques, contributing to the evolution of execution abstractions at the protocol layer. We are building secure, production-grade systems that meet the stringent performance requirements of modern financial exchanges. This involves developing and maintaining high-availability, fault-tolerant infrastructure across cloud and distributed environments, utilizing tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
