Requirements
- 5+ years of professional game development experience.
- Demonstrated technical leadership through project ownership and mentorship.
- Strong professional experience with C++.
- Expertise in Unreal Engine, including gameplay architecture, debugging, and optimization.
- Proficiency in building responsive, scalable, and designer-friendly gameplay systems.
- Ability to work across system boundaries and collaborate with multiple disciplines.
- Strong ownership mindset and practical decision-making skills.
- Experience with modern UE5 systems like Metahuman, Nanite, and Lumen (Bonus).
- Shipped titles on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo hardware (Bonus).
- Familiarity with Perforce, Jenkins, Unreal Build System, or Unreal Gauntlet (Bonus).
- Experience with Linux (Bonus).
Responsibilities
- Establish initial engineering pipelines, workflows, and technology stacks for a new project.
- Lead technical direction and implementation of core gameplay and runtime systems.
- Partner with design and content teams to build high-quality game experiences.
- Drive engineering quality, performance, maintainability, and production-readiness.
- Define engineering best practices, including code review standards, debugging, and profiling.
- Collaborate on risk assessment, technical strategy, and production timelines.
- Mentor engineers through reviews, problem-solving, and technical guidance.
- Communicate technical constraints, dependencies, and plans to stakeholders.
