Requirements
- Law Degree required.
- Admitted to practice law in any state and in good standing.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional legal experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in commercial contract review, drafting, editing, and negotiation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental legal concepts and procedures.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal and state mortgage servicing laws and regulations.
- Strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, edit, and negotiate commercial contracts such as vendor agreements, NDAs, and technology agreements.
- Manage contract lifecycle processes including intake, tracking, and execution.
- Provide legal advice to servicing operations regarding compliance, risk management, and complex legal issues.
- Draft responses to government agencies concerning consumer complaints and assist with investigations.
- Review and revise servicing policies, procedures, and training manuals.
- Support in-house litigation staff on servicing-related allegations.
- Coordinate with external counsel as needed.
