Requirements
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in SOC, NOC, IT support, infrastructure operations, or related technical support environments.
- Solid understanding of common cyber threats and attack techniques.
- Experience with incident response processes, alert triage, containment, escalation, and investigation workflows.
- Working knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and core networking protocols.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms, monitoring tools, alert management systems, or security operations technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to independently resolve technical issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of incidents from detection through resolution, coordinating with internal teams and clients as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex security, network, systems, and cloud-related issues within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Serve as an escalation point for unresolved alerts and incidents within your primary technical domain.
- Mentor and support SNOC Engineer I team members by sharing knowledge and assisting with technical development.
- Create, update, and enhance operational documentation, including standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles.
- Support security and compliance initiatives by ensuring operational activities align with frameworks such as CMMC, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
