Requirements
- 5 years of professional experience.
- BS in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
- 3+ years of experience working in a government contracting environment.
- Experience with recording transactions in compliance with US GAAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience with Unanet, or the ability to quickly learn and become proficient.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong self-starter with the ability to drive and achieve results.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries in compliance with US GAAP.
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts, including investigation of the underlying cause of any discrepancies in the balance.
- Prepare end-of-month consolidated financial statements and reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement).
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll preparation as needed.
- Analyze monthly financial activity for appropriateness and identify any potential anomalies.
- Record and process vendor invoices.
- Support internal functions by serving as a liaison and point of contact for Accounting & Finance within the organization.
- Assist in gathering, validating, and organizing documentation and data to support internal and external audits.
