Requirements

  • 5 years of professional experience.
  • BS in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a government contracting environment.
  • Experience with recording transactions in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experience with Unanet, or the ability to quickly learn and become proficient.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to drive and achieve results.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts, including investigation of the underlying cause of any discrepancies in the balance.
  • Prepare end-of-month consolidated financial statements and reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement).
  • Assist with semi-monthly payroll preparation as needed.
  • Analyze monthly financial activity for appropriateness and identify any potential anomalies.
  • Record and process vendor invoices.
  • Support internal functions by serving as a liaison and point of contact for Accounting & Finance within the organization.
  • Assist in gathering, validating, and organizing documentation and data to support internal and external audits.
