Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in a healthcare, health plan, pharmacy benefit management, or healthcare sales environment, or equivalent clinical pharmacy residency experience with additional industry experience.
- Strong experience developing business relationships, managing complex sales cycles, and closing B2B opportunities.
- Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets through strategic prospecting, relationship management, and consultative selling.
- Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefit management, Medicare Part D, commercial pharmacy benefits, and related healthcare processes.
- Ability to analyze data, market insights, and client needs.
- Active, unrestricted pharmacy license in the state of residence.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end business development strategy for a portfolio of clinical programs, from opportunity identification and prospecting through presentations, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within employer-sponsored health plans, labor organizations, municipal groups, and other healthcare markets.
- Analyze client data, market trends, and business needs to develop compelling sales strategies, proposals, and return-on-investment analyses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and strategic partners to expand program adoption and support long-term retention.
- Deliver engaging presentations that communicate clinical value propositions and demonstrate measurable impact to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with account teams, clinical leaders, and product stakeholders to ensure solutions remain competitive, relevant, and aligned with market needs.
- Support client implementation handoffs to ensure smooth onboarding and successful program launches.
- Maintain a strong understanding of healthcare market dynamics, pharmacy benefits, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- Provide market insights and customer feedback to inform future product development and program innovation.
- Track sales performance, maintain CRM activity, and support business reporting and operational initiatives as needed.
