Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent (formal education in electronics or engineering preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in audiovisual system design or integration.
- AVIXA CTS-D certification (required).
- Advanced experience with IP networking and AVoIP solutions.
- Proficiency with CAD applications such as AutoCAD or Bluebeam Revu.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure requirements including power, data, and conduit.
- Familiarity with AVIXA and ANSI/TIA industry standards.
- Experience with enterprise collaboration technologies like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or Cisco Webex.
- Experience with audio/DSP platforms (e.g., Biamp, Q-SYS, BSS, Extron, or Shure).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
- Ability to travel and work in office or client-site environments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales teams and account managers to develop technical strategies and support proposal efforts for large-scale projects.
- Provide expert guidance on audiovisual solutions to address complex customer challenges.
- Develop accurate labor estimates, material requirements, and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Create system designs including bills of materials, block diagrams, infrastructure plans, and scopes of work.
- Define infrastructure requirements for power, data, and conduit while coordinating with stakeholders and contractors.
- Review designs from junior and mid-level engineers to ensure quality standards and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentor engineering team members by sharing technical expertise and industry best practices.
- Act as a design authority during implementation to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design workflows and standards.
