- 1 year of medical bill processing experience desired.
- Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with electronic document management in a healthcare setting desired.
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to professionally represent the company via phone, email, and fax.
- Ability to handle large volumes of work with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under limited supervision, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize assignments.
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA mandated guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
Responsibilities
- Contact employers, insurers, and outside entities via phone, email, or fax to verify and obtain insurance claim and bill review packages.
- Manage inbound and outbound calls efficiently.
- Obtain supporting claim documentation, compile billing packets, and file insurance claims.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry across several systems.
- Handle confidential documentation and patient health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and support staff to ensure efficient workflow.
