  • 1 year of medical bill processing experience desired.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with electronic document management in a healthcare setting desired.
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to professionally represent the company via phone, email, and fax.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize assignments.
  • Ability to adhere to HIPAA mandated guidelines.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Contact employers, insurers, and outside entities via phone, email, or fax to verify and obtain insurance claim and bill review packages.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls efficiently.
  • Obtain supporting claim documentation, compile billing packets, and file insurance claims.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry across several systems.
  • Handle confidential documentation and patient health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and support staff to ensure efficient workflow.
