Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in independently managing month-end processes.
- Experience with financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of payroll and pension compliance.
- Knowledge of VAT and wider financial compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing cash flow forecasts.
- Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working across internal teams and external providers.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop the finance operating model and implement process improvements.
- Oversee month-end and year-end accounting, including revenue recognition, royalties, and reconciliations.
- Manage intercompany transactions and group cross-charging processes.
- Coordinate annual audits and review statutory accounts and corporation tax submissions.
- Manage outsourced payroll and pension providers to ensure HMRC compliance.
- Monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, and manage day-to-day banking activities.
- Oversee the outsourced accounts payable function and company credit card expenditure.
- Prepare VAT returns and coordinate R&D tax credit claim processes.
- Deliver group reporting and support budgeting and financial planning activities.
