Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in the electrical transmission industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multi-state preferred).
- Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
- Working knowledge of NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95 codes.
- Command of the English language with effective written and oral communication skills.
- Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and project execution layouts.
- Coordinate project status and meetings with clients and internal/external stakeholders.
- Provide technical mentorship to staff and support recruitment efforts.
- Apply transmission line design expertise including structure staking, foundations, assembly drawings, structure loading, and material procurement.
- Facilitate and adhere to internal QA/QC procedures and business improvement methodologies.
- Support business development through proposal preparation and client relationship management.
