Requirements
- 3-5 years of software engineering or software development experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts, including object-oriented design and multi-threaded architecture.
- Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and cybersecurity.
- Hands-on programming experience in Java and/or Typescript.
- Proficiency with tool suites including IntelliJ, Git, and Webpack.
- Proficiency in SQL or relational database management, including querying, schema design, and stored procedures.
- Experience with high-volume, high-frequency, or streaming data ingestion pipelines.
- Experience working in a team using agile methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with time-series data concepts is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial data standards such as OPC-DA, OPC-UA, MQTT, and Modbus is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage the entire project lifecycle including design, development, and deployment.
- Improve code structure and architecture to support testability and maintainability.
- Write and review design documentation.
- Complete constructive code reviews in a timely manner.
- Mentor and teach other engineers on an individual basis.
- Lead specific product areas or take on IC leadership roles such as Product Lead or Scrum Master.
- Solve problems in collaboration with team and adjacent teams.
- Escalate technical problems that have wider scope.
