Requirements
- Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, NP or equivalent).
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
- Expertise in epilepsy and/or neurology therapeutic areas.
- Established professional network within the relevant therapeutic area.
- Strong understanding of clinical research, evidence generation, and medical communications.
- Demonstrated ability to build credible peer-to-peer relationships with scientific and clinical stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage a field territory and document insights in a timely manner.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% or more.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with scientific leaders, investigators, and healthcare professionals.
- Conduct compliant, evidence-based scientific exchange regarding disease-state science, clinical data, and treatment paradigms.
- Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries in accordance with company policies.
- Gather and synthesize field insights on clinical practice trends and patient needs to inform internal medical strategy.
- Deliver high-quality scientific presentations to healthcare providers and decision-makers.
- Contribute to scientific materials, including slide decks and medical responses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Trial Awareness, Regulatory, and Market Access.
