Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Exemplary communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to guide customers and investors through the retention and/or liquidation process.
- Ability to navigate processes on behalf of customers.
- General knowledge of the entire loss mitigation process.
- Self-starter with the ability to independently work a pipeline effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of loans in default and implement loss mitigation strategies.
- Review and validate documents and answer technical foreclosure questions from borrowers.
- Analyze work-out options based on financial impact, including foreclosure, short sale, reinstatement, and deed in lieu.
- Deliver proposals for options that yield the best return for the investor.
- Work closely with investors to negotiate loss mitigation strategies.
- Set clear expectations with borrowers and involved parties regarding loan status and potential resolutions.
- Manage relationships with internal departments and business partners.
- Administer and track all updates, analyses, and decisions in appropriate systems.
- Generate ideas for process improvements and support new initiatives.
- Responsible for periodic and ad-hoc reporting.
