Requirements
- 8–15+ years of experience in systems engineering, enterprise information systems, or large-scale mission-critical environments
- Strong background in designing, integrating, and validating complex software and hardware systems
- Hands-on or leadership experience with software development environments using Java, JavaScript, SQL Server, and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud and containerized environments, including Kubernetes and Cloud Foundry
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API design (REST, SOAP, XML)
- Proven experience leading or supporting system verification and validation efforts in complex environments
- Experience working with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into actionable system specifications
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes, testing methodologies, and lifecycle development practices
- Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation such as test plans, system engineering management plans, and related artifacts
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments involving security, logistics, and mission assurance functions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in highly technical, mission-critical settings
Responsibilities
- Support the design, sustainment, and enhancement of large-scale, complex ground systems supporting satellite command, control, communications, and data processing
- Collaborate with software engineering teams working across Java, JavaScript, SQL Server, and NoSQL technologies to ensure system integration and performance
- Design and support microservices and web services architectures, including REST, SOAP, and XML-based systems
- Participate in cloud-based deployments and infrastructure design, including Kubernetes and Cloud Foundry environments
- Lead or support verification and validation efforts for integrated software and hardware systems, ensuring compliance with mission requirements
- Work closely with stakeholders and product teams to define minimum viable requirements and translate them into structured user stories
- Develop and execute system-level test strategies, including RVTM, test reporting, and metrics tracking for large-scale test events
- Contribute to systems engineering documentation such as SEMP, test plans, test procedures, and mission readiness materials
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across systems security, mission systems, logistics, safety, and reliability teams
- Support mission operations and continuous system improvement for high-availability, mission-critical space systems
