Requirements
- Strong background in commercial property claims handling.
- Experience in both Excess & Surplus Lines (Lloyds) and Standard carrier programs.
- Understanding of the role of Third-Party Administration in claims management.
- Ability to review and interpret routine and complex policy contracts.
- Ability to review and interpret damage estimates.
- Knowledge of current case law, statutory law, and DOI regulations.
- Demonstrated analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prepare detailed reports and recommendations for clients.
- Strong organizational skills to manage responsibilities under critical deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Determine, evaluate, investigate, negotiate and resolve property claims in accordance with legal, regulatory and internal standards.
- Verify coverage under applicable Commercial Property insurance policies.
- Coordinate with field adjusters and experts for inspections and investigations.
- Analyze damage estimates, repair costs, and vendor invoices for accuracy.
- Communicate regularly with policyholders, adjusters, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare written status and large loss reports, including Reservation of Rights and Coverage Position Letters.
- Direct and monitor defense counsel to manage and settle litigated claims.
- Present claim overviews to business partners on a monthly basis.
