Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, ingredient sales, or partnerships.
- Direct experience in CPG, functional foods, or infant formula markets.
- Proven track record of success in selling or commercializing functional ingredients.
- Strong existing industry network.
- Experience negotiating joint development agreements (JDAs) and long-term supply agreements.
- Ability to translate scientific data into commercial claims and value propositions.
- Strong financial and market analysis capability, including pricing models and unit economics.
- Entrepreneurial mindset suitable for a fast-moving startup environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop tailored market entry strategies for functional proteins across functional foods, beverages, nutraceuticals, and infant formula.
- Define segment-specific value propositions, pricing, and competitive positioning.
- Lead outreach to CPGs, ingredient houses, and infant formula companies.
- Build and manage a pipeline of pilot, co-development, and supply-partnership opportunities.
- Negotiate joint development agreements (JDAs), supply agreements, licensing, and channel partnerships.
- Collaborate with the founding team on commercial viability, including legal, regulatory, and manufacturing aspects.
- Track industry trends and provide market intelligence to shape the protein pipeline.
