Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, drafting, or related building systems engineering roles.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Revit for electrical modeling and design development.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and related standards.
- Familiarity with NFPA 72, NFPA 101, NFPA 110, and International Building Code (IBC).
- Experience with lighting design tools such as DIALux or AGi32.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and engage directly with clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute electrical design work for municipal buildings and infrastructure projects, serving as both an individual contributor and technical lead.
- Develop detailed engineering deliverables including calculations, construction drawings, cost estimates, and bills of material.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to produce fully integrated, constructible, and code-compliant design packages.
- Engage in client meetings and technical discussions to define requirements and deliver effective engineering solutions.
- Review and validate design documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance with NEC and relevant building codes, and alignment with client standards.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers and designers to support their professional growth.
- Support project execution by contributing to scope, schedule, and budget adherence throughout the design lifecycle.
