Requirements

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including leadership of multiple teams through engineering managers at director level or equivalent
  • Strong background in distributed systems, platform engineering, or customer-facing SaaS infrastructure
  • Experience with monetization systems such as billing, usage metering, entitlements, invoicing, and subscription management
  • Proven track record delivering API-first, scalable, and modular platform architectures
  • Experience supporting usage-based or hybrid pricing models in SaaS environments
  • Strong understanding of enterprise system integrations, including CRM, billing, and financial platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Zuora or similar)
  • Experience operating in environments requiring strong governance, compliance, auditability, and operational rigor
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Finance, Legal, Sales, Product, and Design in a distributed organization
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align technical strategy with business outcomes
  • Experience with AI/ML-driven product or platform capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Growth and Monetization engineering organization, overseeing strategy, execution, architecture, and team development through engineering managers
  • Define the technical vision for self-service purchase flows, billing systems, usage tracking, entitlements, and account lifecycle management
  • Build and optimize end-to-end monetization workflows, including quoting, ordering, provisioning, invoicing, renewals, and expansion processes
  • Design and scale API-first monetization platforms that support flexible pricing and packaging models, including usage-based systems
  • Own architecture for billing, metering, rating, and reporting systems, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and operational resilience
  • Drive integrations across enterprise systems such as billing, CRM, and financial platforms
  • Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Sales, Product, Design, and Enterprise Applications to align technical solutions with business and compliance requirements
  • Ensure high standards of reliability, auditability, controls, and compliance across monetization systems and workflows
  • Guide initiatives leveraging AI and machine learning to enhance pricing intelligence, usage forecasting, and personalized billing experiences
