Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent).
- Fluency in English.
- Minimum of six years of grant writing experience, with at least three years as the lead writer on funded grant proposals.
- Strong scientific or technical knowledge relevant to climate solutions.
- Experience securing grants from climate-focused federal and state agencies (e.g., DOE, USDA, DOD, NSF, EPA, CEC, NYSERDA, MassCEC).
- Outstanding research skills and a clear, compelling writing style.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage project schedules and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Equipment and technical capability to work fully remotely with intercontinental teams.
Responsibilities
- Work with senior staff and the Director of Grants to manage the full proposal development process including project design, document preparation, and submission.
- Support multiple proposal projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and meeting tight deadlines.
- Draft complex technical narratives, work plans, budget justifications, and letters of commitment for federal and state funding programs.
- Conduct external research and gather internal data to provide content for proposals.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients to refine project scope, commercialization plans, and overall fundraising strategy.
- Liaise with external partners and stakeholders to support proposal development and consortium building.
