Requirements
- Proven delivery of large distributed systems with clear evidence of technical leadership.
- Deep understanding of system design trade-offs regarding latency, consistency, availability, scaling, and cost.
- Solid experience with cloud-native architectures including microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and IaC.
- Strong proficiency in Go (Python, C, C++, or Rust also considered).
- Experience with reliability and performance ownership (SLOs/SLIs, capacity planning).
- Practical experience folding AI-powered developer tools into team workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and drive outcomes in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve infrastructure for internal tools like Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope.
- Drive maturity and scalability initiatives within the SysEng squad.
- Own the full lifecycle of code, including design documentation, integration testing, and developer feedback.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure production reliability.
- Collaborate across engineering to reduce new region build timelines.
- Define SLOs/SLIs, perform capacity planning, and drive performance tuning.
