- Deep distributed systems expertise with a track record of building and scaling high-throughput, concurrent data pipelines.
- Fluency in high-performance languages: Go, C, or Rust.
- Knowledge of timeseries databases, object storage, or distributed filesystems.
- Proven ability to balance cutting-edge engineering with operational stability.
- Strong communication skills with experience articulating complex technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Growth mindset with a passion for personal and team development.
Responsibilities
- Co-own the technical vision for storage services.
- Define and lead the execution of a multi-year technical roadmap for storage, focusing on query speeds.
- Design tiered storage strategies (Hot/Warm/Cold), TTL-based data eviction, and optimization strategies for massive, real-time data influx.
- Work closely with product, support, and other engineering teams to drive platform-wide storage standards.
- Level up the engineers within the team.
