Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in a research or technology-related role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Deep subject matter familiarity in cryptography and encryption, including security and compliance benefits.
- Foundational knowledge in PKI, key and certificate management, HSMs, and general cybersecurity.
- Understanding of data and cloud security concepts, including machine and human identity management.
- Familiarity with cryptography management vendors such as Entrust, IBM, Keyfactor, and Thales.
- Knowledge of symmetric (AES, DES) and asymmetric (RSA, ECC, DH, ML-KEM, ML-DSA) cryptography.
- Familiarity with hash functions, cryptographic protocols (SSL/TLS, SSH), and standard APIs (PKCS#11).
- Understanding of security standards like FIPS, Common Criteria, ISO/IEC 27001, CNSA 2.0, and DORA.
- Experience in real-world implementation and operation of cryptographic and key management solutions.
- Ability to conduct occasional regional and global travel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis in data security, with a focus on encryption, PKI, post-quantum cryptography, and key/certificate management.
- Respond to client questions and deliver actionable advice through various media.
- Write high-quality, clear, and actionable research content on strategic and practical cryptography topics.
- Predict market developments in crypto-discovery and key/certificate management.
- Collaborate with data security, privacy, and identity teams to stay ahead of industry developments.
- Support the wider sales organization to retain and grow the business.
