Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Active Virginia Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
- ANCC Board Certification
- DEA Certification
- 2+ years of experience working in adult mental health
- Strong assessment skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ambitious, client-centric work ethic
- Minimum commitment of 16 hours per week
- Access to a personal computer and quiet, professional space for tele-psychiatry appointments
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial tele-psychiatric evaluations with clients.
- Develop collaborative treatment plans integrating medication, therapy, or both.
- Provide various modalities of talk therapy to meet client preferences for combined care.
- Proactively follow up with clients on a monthly basis at minimum.
- Assess the efficacy of recommended interventions and manage ongoing care until treatment goals are met.
