Requirements

Law degree from a recognized university, with active bar admission in the country of residence.
5+ years of experience in real estate law, with strong focus on development, transactions, and construction-related matters.
Prior experience in construction, real estate disputes, or complex development projects is required.
Strong understanding of real estate development processes, regulations, and contractual structures.
Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and real estate agreements.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
Fluency in Portuguese and English, with the ability to draft and review legal documents in English at a high level.
Experience in in-house roles within real estate or luxury development environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide legal guidance across all stages of real estate development projects, including land acquisition, due diligence, permitting, construction, financing, leasing, and asset disposition.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex legal agreements such as purchase agreements, development contracts, leases, construction agreements, and financing documents.
Manage legal risks associated with real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Conduct legal research and provide analysis on real estate, construction, and development-related regulatory frameworks.
Collaborate closely with internal teams including development, finance, construction, and operations to support strategic decision-making.
Interface with external stakeholders such as government agencies, lenders, investors, consultants, and counterparties to support project execution.
Stay up to date with legal and market developments in real estate, construction, and related industries.
