Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production data pipelines and warehouses.
- Deep technical expertise with GCP, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, and Dataflow.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
- Experience with Metaplane or similar observability tooling.
- Strong SQL proficiency for both pipeline development and analytical querying.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI tools into data engineering workflows.
- Proven ability to translate business questions into technical data models.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with non-technical stakeholders.
- Capacity to navigate ambiguity and design systems for high-scale volume.
Responsibilities
- Own data lifecycle from raw source ingestion to final delivery.
- Design and manage data pipelines using Airflow, Dataflow, and Python.
- Model data in dbt and deliver analysis using Hex.
- Build scalable data architectures designed to support rapid company growth.
- Analyze and explain metric movements by tracing data from dashboards to source.
- Manage data infrastructure as code using tools like Pulumi.
- Partner with growth, finance, and product teams to address data needs.
