Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatch, fuel accounting, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed for on-call rotation.
  • Petroleum industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor designated customer tank readings.
  • Plan deliveries based on current fuel levels and average daily usage.
  • Monitor market direction to manage customer fuel purchasing opportunities.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage fuel deliveries to customer locations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and carriers.
  • Review and resolve customer bulk fuel vendor invoice exceptions and discrepancies.
  • Process and review fuel transactions, including purchases, deliveries, and sales.
  • Reconcile fuel-related data across systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Prepare customer statements and maintain accurate fuel accounting records.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation requiring weekend and overnight availability.
